A few weeks ago I hiked a 7.4 mile loop in the Columbia River Gorge on the Washington side. It was one of the largest elevation climbs I’ve done this year, at nearly 3000 ft. But it was completely worth it! Great view of the gorge, so many wonderful flowers in bloom. It was pretty crowded at the trail head and at the summit. So, to avoid the mass of humanity on my way down, I looped down the back side of the mountain rather than going down the way I came. Taking the loop does make the hike longer, but the solitude and views were worth it!
Get yo’ hike on!
