My friend Becka was in town for one of the first sunny days of the year. So we geared up and went on a hike! There were lots of cars at the trailhead, but the trails were not crowded.
This hike goes through a cow field, which I find hilarious, but all the cows were in another pasture. We ambled up to Shellburg Falls and then to the top of Stasel Falls. We tried to find the unofficial path that leads down to the bottom of Stasel Falls, but could not find it (we’ll probably try again in the summer when it is a little less wet).
We had some time to kill so we started following some of the smaller trails between the cow fields and the lower falls. We ended up following a deer path down to the river and trying out the LifeStraw we got for Christmas. Haha!
All in all a great way to take advantage of the good weather.
