Stopped for a short hike in the Gorge on my way to Eastern Washington. The Lower Starvation Loop is a great 3 mile hike! It has it all – flowers in the spring, great views, waterfalls! It, however, lacks a few bridges. Neither of the creek crossings were difficult. One did not even come up to my ankle. The second one was deeper, but not dangerous. I mostly wish that I had brought my trekking poles to balance.
Also, there is construction on this trail and it is closed during the week. The sign said that the construction would be done by the end of August, so hopefully the trail will be in tip-top shape!
